Used Car Buyer Checklist: Code 628
Code 628 is the software and sensor logic that enables genuine matrix operation. While code 642 (Multibeam) or 318 (Digital Light) provides the hardware, code 628 allows the high beams to stay activated at all times above 30-40 km/h by masking out opposing and preceding vehicles. Without code 628, headlights only perform standard on/off high-beam switching (Code 608).
Factory Technical Specifications
Confirmed via the multifunction stereo camera behind the rearview mirror and the automatic high-beam icon with an 'A' symbol in the instrument cluster.
